    Warrior/Galena IPA help

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to go with 1 oz warrior at 60 and then 1 oz amarillo at 15 and 10 and then 1 oz liberty at 5 and 1. What do you think about dry hopping with galena?

    Warrior/Galena IPA help

Just wanting some help on a IPA I'm making. I have some warrior and galena hops and I was going to use 2 oz warrior at 60 min and then start hitting it with 1 oz of galena at 15 min and then another 1 oz every 5 min. This is a 60 min boil. I haven't used galena that much but a friend gave me a...

    Peach Beer

Yes it's a 5 gallon batch. I just had those amarillo hops in my freezer and thought i would add them. Tastybrew has my .75 oz at 12 IBU. Which is on the low side, but I don't think my co-workers are hop heads like me and so I thought i'd keep it low.

    Peach Beer

So we have a Micro Brewery about an hour and a half from where we live called Choc beer, and they make a Peach beer that my co-workers love. They have given me money (for ingredients) to try and make them this beer and since it's only my second fruit beer I thought I'd try and keep it simple...

    Extract/AG Rivalry

Well Friday night I made the White House Honey Porter and it looked, tasted and smelled amazing. OG was 1.060. Obama's wouldn't send me any white house honey so I used some local natural honey. I used Fuggle instead of the Hallertau because I had some. I've made a porter when I was bottling my...

    Extract/AG Rivalry

Yes I realized that after I replied:drunk: Process is key. I've played around with a lot of my batches, but I always did a OG/FG reading, paid attention to my temps from boil to pitching, and I try to keep ferm temps right. I think you are missing out if you don't do that. I will tell you right...

    Extract/AG Rivalry

I was the same way, but I found out at my LBHS that we had a local homebrew club and they let me join them on their brew day and I learned a lot seeing some experienced guys doing all grain. If you are like me I don't really have many friends joining me to make beer(but they love to come and...

    Extract/AG Rivalry

Yeah if it was a kit, but whats the difference if you buy some LME/DME, Steeping Grains and hops? Basically you've cut out the mash, but you are still going to get your own beer?

    Extract/AG Rivalry

I have my first baby coming at the end of this month and doing a all grain batch will be tough for a awhile after. Hell I gotta keep all my beer talk to a minimum around my wife right now anyways, she's cool with my homebrewing but at 9 months pregnant anything will set her off, lol

    Extract/AG Rivalry

I've been reading tons of threads on the White House beer being made and all the negative comments about the extracts used. I don't understand what the big deal is. I've only been brewing for about a year and half now and this weekend will be around my 15th batch of beer. I started out with a mr...

    Strawberry

Thanks guys! I think i'm going to do it tonight. I think the only difference i'm going to see is that i might have to leave it in the secondary longer than i planned but maybe not. A little extra fermentation is all good with me. It'd have to be down right unsafe for human consumption for me to...

    Strawberry

So I have some wheat beer ready to go from my primary to secondary and I would like to add strawberry. I was going to just go to the store and buy some frozen strawberrys, but my wife told me she had picked some fresh and cooked them down and froze them for strawberry shortcake. The only...
