A ton of food prepers have perfected this without the need to buy a foodsaver type machine. They are using Mylar bags which can be purchased in all sorts of sizes and are ideal for keeping oxygen out. They put food or in this case hops into the Mylar bag drop in an appropriately sized oxygen...
Well you guys were not kidding. A decent Bimetal hole saw cut through these things easy peasy with a dab of cutting oil. Just for future reference, a 2" hole saw will cut a hole just the right size to WELD in a 2" triclover fitting. You would need a smaller one if you were doing the solder in...
Hey guys, looking for advise on making a 2" hole in the side of my keggle for a 2" Triclover ferrule. I'm using this to mount my element via triclover. Do you suggest getting a 2" greenlee knock out punch, Ideal 2" hole cutter or other practicle suggestion? How did you do yours?
Thanks
Mark
The link did not work for me but I did by searching for "thermopen open box sale". I can't seem to get the link to work by copying it. Hope the $69 is the sale price, lol, because I got one. Been waiting for the right time and price.
Thanks for the tip

I know this is a couple months old now but figured someone might pull it up like I did when looking for answers on this.
I just got done removing a bunch of the rubber stuff from the bottom of two kegs and found a pretty quick process. What I did was use an angle grinder with a 1/8th thick...
Yes, I'm planning to only run on electric. I have everything to run a RIMS setup but I decided on that when I thought I was going to do the Brutus 20 style setup with two vessels. I've since decided that I wanted to do the whole 3 vessel style brew rig and I like the HERMS style as well...
So I was thinking about this while collecting stuff for my build. Does anyone see any use to have a HERMS setup AND a RIMS setup both functional in one build? Just a waste of money? Can you think of anything having both available would allow you to do that you cant do with one?
Lets assume...
Thanks, i was wondering if the rotory switches I picked up would work. I believe I purchased a couple extra of both the two position and three position ones so I should be able to come up with something that will match the rest of the pannel.
