    Brewery names--what's your story?

Spring St. Brewery. I just thought of it last night (my last name is Spring) and I have great art concepts in mind. Sadly a quick googling showed that Spring St. Brewery is famous in investment circles, if not brewing ones. Luckily for me the brewery is now out of business and by the time I go...

    Off Topic: Home Power Generation

You just count to 1470 & 42 Mississippi at the same time. Anyone smart enough to build a perpetual motion machine should know how to count.

    I have Arrived!

I stopped at a small brewpub this weekend while on vacation and ordered a pint of stout. It was pretty good, but when my wife tried it all she had to say was "Yours is better":ban: I see a long lunch coming one day this week so I can run up to the LHBS for more ingredients. :D

Check out my DIY drip pan!

My drip pan, made from a 2 dollar drywall mud holder, is attached with magnets. I just open the garage door and dump it out.

Craft Beer in a Can (Bad Experience?)

I bought my wife a six of 21st Ammenment's Hell or High Watermelon tonight. There weren't any off tastes and she drank from the can. I much prefer bottles, but it is nice to be able to bring good beer to the pool and beach.

    Keg conversion question

That is the same setup I bought last year. Keg connection is great about customizing orders, give them a call and they will modify the kit with the couplers that you need. If it was me I would add a sanke coupler http://stores.kegconnection.com/Detail.bok?no=64 to the order so that you could...

    Noob Keggle Build

I have two kegs that I can't get the ball valve and spear out of. I suppose I could try harder, but decided to build a jig that fits on the outside of the fitting. I'm sure that it will work but I had too many beers on the way home tonight to plug in my angle grinder. :drunk:

    San Antonio

Thanks for the ideas. Freetail & Ranger creek are on the list. One of my meetings is practically nextdoor to Ranger Creek, I'll have to time it to end as the tasting room is opening.

    Terrapin Brewing

It may not be long, they are contract brewing some of their beers now. I felt a little cheated when I saw that the beer I bought wasn't made at the brewery 40 minutes away, but it tasted just like the real thing.

Transporting brew through Alabama and Miss.

I never miss opening weekend of deer season in Alabama. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I don't get stopped with a car full of homebrew and guns.

    Wazzzz up? (atl area)

I have not joined any clubs, but it looks like there are a couple good ones in the area. I just have to stop being lazy and figure out where they meet. One of the clubs(final gravity?) just won the Sweetwater cask competition.

    Health Alert

My oncologist does not have a problem with my beer drinking, so I think I will ignore MSNBC for now.

    Beer Travel = New Forum?

Please forgive my ignorance, and I welcome all "It's already been established as a bad idea" or "Why didn't you look here first" comments. BUT, it seems that this would be a great place to host a "Beer Travel" forum. It seems that microbrewery & brew pub reviews are spread across multiple...

    Wazzzz up? (atl area)

Ok, my wife, and numerous friends, tell me that nobody says "Wazzzz up" anymore, but I don't much care. I am just getting back into brewing and quality beer drinking after a decade+ hiatus. These forums have been hugely helpful in my rebirth and I look forward to the opportunity to give...
