I have two kegs that I can't get the ball valve and spear out of. I suppose I could try harder, but decided to build a jig that fits on the outside of the fitting. I'm sure that it will work but I had too many beers on the way home tonight to plug in my angle grinder. :drunk:

Thanks for the ideas. Freetail & Ranger creek are on the list. One of my meetings is practically nextdoor to Ranger Creek, I'll have to time it to end as the tasting room is opening.

It may not be long, they are contract brewing some of their beers now. I felt a little cheated when I saw that the beer I bought wasn't made at the brewery 40 minutes away, but it tasted just like the real thing.

I never miss opening weekend of deer season in Alabama. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I don't get stopped with a car full of homebrew and guns.

I have not joined any clubs, but it looks like there are a couple good ones in the area. I just have to stop being lazy and figure out where they meet. One of the clubs(final gravity?) just won the Sweetwater cask competition.

My oncologist does not have a problem with my beer drinking, so I think I will ignore MSNBC for now.
