I have been keeping it between 70 and 74 degrees F. It's already in the bottle, so I can't stir it.
A emailed a guy in my local home brew club and he said go ahead and toss in the Red Star. The vapor lock started moving within an hour of doing that.

So I brewed a batch of mead Tuesday night. I made 4 gallons of 1 to 3 clover honey to spring water. I tossed in some nutrient and a WLP720. 48hours later I am still not seeing any signs of fermentation (i.e. no bubble in the airlock no activity on top of the must).

This seemed like an easy recipe and I am a noob, so I threw it together tonight. I used Murray's cider, montrachet and dextrose. I live in a rural area, so finding the dextrose was hard.
