    Weissbier Honey Orange Hefeweizen

Brewing this today. It's early winter in Australia and I'm using lovely ripe navel oranges from my tree.

    Saison Cottage House Saison

Just finished my first batch of this. My wife and I loved it. Will need to brew it again.

You know you're a home brewer when?

Completely true, mate. Google "Pyrex explode" and read lots of similar stories to mine. Pyrex can apparently handle going into the oven, but not going directly onto the stovetop. The thermal stress is too much for it. I was just heating a small volume of water on my gas stovetop, to sterilise...

You know you're a home brewer when?

When you discover the hard way that Pyrex jugs aren't meant to go directly onto the stovetop, and explode into a thousand pieces.

Really enjoying my first batch of this. Will be brewing it again soon!

British Brown Ale Nut Brown AG

I'm close to racking my second attempt at this. My first attempt became infected but this one tastes great. Quick question: should I clarify this with finings added to the fermenter, or should I leave or alone?

    Saison Cottage House Saison

I have this fermenting now. I'm in Australia too, and couldn't get hold of Sorachi Ace. I subbed with Glacier. I'm sure Centennial would be fine too.

Belgian Blond Ale Revvy's Belgian Blonde (Leffe Clone)

I've finally had the opportunity to brew this one. Leffe Blonde is one of my favourite beers so I can't wait to taste the finished result. It's bubbling away vigorously. My finished volume was slightly low (16 litres instead of 19) and my OG was slightly high (1072 instead of 1068) but...

Mine was due to be bottled yesterday but I discovered that it is infected. Damn!

British Brown Ale Nut Brown AG

Brewed this today. Got a stuck sparge and slightly undershot my volumes, but both easily fixed. The Nottingham is bubbling away nicely and it smells delicious.

British Brown Ale Nut Brown AG

I'm brewing this next. Can't wait, based on all the positive comments in this thread.

You know you're a home brewer when?

When you discover that human civilisation switched from nomadic existence to settlements in order to grow grains to brew beer and make bread, and you feel connected to 10,000 years of others who share the same passion.
