Completely true, mate. Google "Pyrex explode" and read lots of similar stories to mine.
Pyrex can apparently handle going into the oven, but not going directly onto the stovetop. The thermal stress is too much for it.

I'm close to racking my second attempt at this. My first attempt became infected but this one tastes great.
Quick question: should I clarify this with finings added to the fermenter, or should I leave or alone?
I've finally had the opportunity to brew this one. Leffe Blonde is one of my favourite beers so I can't wait to taste the finished result. It's bubbling away vigorously.
My finished volume was slightly low (16 litres instead of 19) and my OG was slightly high (1072 instead of 1068) but...
Brewed this today. Got a stuck sparge and slightly undershot my volumes, but both easily fixed. The Nottingham is bubbling away nicely and it smells delicious.
