Weird taste it some what fruity and possibly from the oak chips. It has been in the bottles 14 days not sure on specific temps. We keep the house about 70. The two weeks in a fridge is a nice tip thanks.
I brewed up my first 5 gallon batch a Light Scottish Ale from Midwest brewing supplies. Last night I threw the first bottle in the fridge. Today I pop it open and pour, but I get no head and a weird taste. Any ideas what went wrong?
Wanted to make brew my is a kit I have, but was thinking about adding cherries in heavy syrup. I would puree them and add it to the fermenter before the yeast. My question is how do you think it would turn out? comments appreciated.
New to brewing and I bounce between all grain and extracts. Today I wanted to do a Mr beer iris stout and add coco powder and coffee. What is a fermentable sugar I can I add to up the abv?
I am not worried about the fat or want the sugar free. I want to use regular hersheys. I quite worrying about wait a year ago when I retired from the army.

What about useing normal hersheys syrup for priming? Has anyone tried this & what were your results? I have brewed all of three batches so just looking for ideas & to use the pool of experience here.
