    Man, I love Apfelwein

to anyone cruising the back pages of this thread (unwilling to read every post): this is good. brew this right away. when you drink your first glass, this will not live up to the hype. you might even think that you ****ed up and didn't make a batch with any alcohol in it. you may think...

    Rice Hulls

How do you use the hulls? Do you make an effort to keep them near the bottom of the grain bed, or just add and stir as usual? What's the most effective use?

    Problem with Carbonation

Any update on your carbonation problem? Did you let them go on their own, or did you have to add sugar/yeast?

    Favorite Commercial Brews

Firestone Walker make great beers. Very clean and tasty. They know what they are doing. That's my go-to sixer if I find myself at the grocery and thirsty.

What is THAT taste? Learning flavors in beers. The good the bad and the UGLY!

I have always thought that Blue Moon tastes a bit like soap. I learned that it's the coriander when I was messing around with recipes on my own. It's not really an off-flavor, but I thought I would chime in to help the flavor identification effort.
