I haven't tried it out yet but I just got this stainless steel coil spring from a German company called MattMill for my new mash tun project. I hooked it up to a 1/2" ball valve in a 10 gallon igloo cooler. The springs thread into the "T" joint so they are easily removable for cleaning.
I ordered the posts and in/outs. On a side note, The eye wash spray hose was steel braided so I was able to make a couple of long bazooka filters for my cooler mash tun project!
Thanks for the input. I thought it looked like a standard Pepsi keg, but the italy/ AEB threw me off. Guess I'll look into getting some ball lock connectors. This was the most impractical eye wash station i've ever seen but I'll find a new job for it.
Cheers :mug:
Greetings!
I'm a fairly new all grain brewer and have zero experience when it comes to kegs. I've been wanting one for a long time but haven't really wanted to pay the steep prices for kegging equipment.
Today I came into something for FREE which I think will be perfect but I need some...
I was stationed in darmstadt Germany.. And still live close by in Wiesbaden. I was planning on making some apfelwein or Cyser this weekend. Think I'll check your recipe.
You should certainly red the MSDS - Material safety data Sheet before using StarSan as it specifically tells you not to put in contact with your skin. Every time I wash bottles i get some diluted starsan on my skin and usually i end up with flaky skin and swollen painful joints for a couple days...
I would compare the smell more to a bag of weed than cat piss. Of course all you have to do is smell the bag of hops to to pick up on it. It's a potent smell but I like it.
