What the heck, why not? I'm in!

I never realized how many Italians lived in the UP until my brother and sister in law moved there. Guess I should be looking for a wine press there instead of southern WI!

If you're a "gadgety" kind of guy, don't do it. Trust me, it will become the death of your checkbook. There is just too much cool stuff!

I currently have BM's OctoberFast in secondary. Used Wyeast 1007 German Ale, by all indications this should be a good one!

I brew more extract in the summer. Things are just too busy for me to have a day to dedicate to brewing AG. In the winter, I seem to have more time.

A simple blonde ale on one, watermelon wheat on the other. I always love the response of "Wait, you made this?" Gotta love it!

Off to a wedding reception/pig roast with the jockey box to convert some more people. Oh, and props to HBT as well on the box, of course...

I second the votes for 3068. Makes a fine hefe, but it can be a monster! I have NB's hefe on tap right now. Even though I do all grain, it's a quick, easy, and tasty beer!

Let us know... someone just gave me several packs of hops, most of the ones you listed, and might need to put this one in the schedule!

Either BYO or Zymurgy (can't remember which) recently had an article on brewing a clone of A Little Sumpin Sumpin which is a wheat one that is delicious. A search should be able to find it.

Another example of a home brewer looking at something surplus and thinking..."Hmm, how could I use that?". Good job!!

Congratulations! Out of all the advice I could give you, probably the most important would be....remember to keep having fun while doing it. Some people can get pretty uptight about things, and I don't personally think that is what brewing is all about. It still amazes me that I can take...

I just finished building a jockey box with the cold plate from Northern Brewer, but it wasn't cheap. I had some of the components from things I have upgraded on the kegerator (shanks, faucets) but the little stuff still gets you. I believe Biermuncher had a sticky on his setup in a trash can...
