    Nwipa

yeah, usually i will do a 10 min, 5 min, or flameout addition to a lot of my beers. But i didn't do it on this one for some reason and i was just really happy with how it turned out, so i'm going to give it another shot just how it was. It was still very hoppy, just not the hard to drink if you...

Ok, so i tried making a really hoppy IPA in a 2 gallon batch, turned out really well i think. I drank it all a while back, and now i'm going to do a bigger batch. This was actually one of my all time favorite home brews, and actually one of my favorite beers overall. Hope it turns out just as...

    Is it to late?

even if you planted them two months ago, you don't get much the first year. My plants this year are already larger than they were at the end of the season last year. Last year being the first season, they were working on roots and i didn't get much more than a few OZ of hops for all 10 plants...

    Beer judging / competition

I have an IPA that i'm REALLY happy with, and it's still green as hell. I want to send some off to one of those judging or competition's that they do, but i don't know anything about them. How much do you have to send to them (it was a small batch, so i only have about 12 22oz's after drinking a...

The Minstrel - A crazy, funky 100% brett fermented beer

what kind of a taste does BRETT impart on a beer? I've only had 1 or 2 that were aged with brett, but it was before i was home brewing and never really put any thought into it. But being that my name is brett. I would like to make a Brett's Brett and try something like this out.. i wanna know...

Permanently marking glass carboy for each gallon?

i have sharpie that's still kind of showing on my one carboy after about 5 or 6 batches in it. But this etching thing really got me excited. I'm going to whip up some symbols and go to town and buy this stuff

Will too much water used in boiling the wort ruin my batch?

Untill you put soo much that you have to boil for hours to get your wort to fit INTO the carboy, using too much water is not a problem. It's actually ideal to do full wort boils (i'm assuming you did a 5 gal batch?). That's more important for all grain or when you start bagging grains, but it...
