Hey guys, I am going to do my first ever brew with homegrown chinook hops. I am planning on doing an all chinook IPA. Currently I have the hops drying in my basement on a screen with a fan blowing on the cones. MY question is once they are dont drying (looking like sunday) is there anthyhing i need to do to the hops themselves before i add them into my wort? i.e. crush them up. Or do I just toss the whole cone right into the brew kettle?

Yup, just use 'em as they are. If you try crushing or chopping them up you're going to lose some of that good yellow stuff along the way...

Cheers!

Thanks for the input guys. I plan to use a muslin bag to contain all the cones. Cheers!
