First year plant with tip damage

Happy memorial day all! I came back from a short vacation and one of my plants looks like the tip was dried up. All 4 plants are on drip system and the ground stays around field capacity and slightly dries towards the end of the day. The other plants look great. This one now has side 2 new shoots growing from just under the damage, like a new tip. Let them all go since its a first year or cut on of the shoots so there is only one tip?
