Do I need to finish ALL sides of keezer collar?

Hi All,

I'm in the process of building my keezer collar (2X8 Pine). I've got a couple coats of stain and am about to start with the ploy, but something just occurred to me: am I going to have rot issues if I don't finish the inside and underside as well? I've only been staining the outside and top of the collar. And: would the answer be the same if I was planning on putting rigid insulation on the inside after finishing?

Never stain the interior of anything that will be closed up. Stain has a long lasting aroma. Stain the outside, use varnish of your choice on the inside.
