I remember... I was a dedicated BMC drinker- some friends took me to a dark, smoky pub near the UW (seattle)... they ordered a pitcher of something and some lemons... I was aghast! Lemons!!??

I sipped- I swooned- I gulped- Angels sang...

It was Pyramid Wheaten- they don't make it anymore but it was wonderful and it opened the door to microbrews for me...

The pub has been remodeled- it just aint the same- Murphy's... but the memory remains...

I used to live in Germany. In 1982, I walked into a gasthaus and had a pilsner, Henninger, and decided it was the best beer ever. That's when I started liking pilsner- before that it was export, or Kolsch.
