This is my first attempt at making a starter.
Do/should you always have a Krausen in your starters?
I followed the directions on the Wyeast web site.
1/3 cup of DME in 1 pint of water. Boil for 15 minutes, cool, airate and pitch yeast.
21 hours later and very little activity in the airlock and absolutely no Krausen at all.
Smells like apple cider.
So, where did I screw up?
