Anyone know of any free mobile brewing apps that are decent?

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Home Brew mobile app

Free, no. But I have beersmith mobile and it's pretty nice. Also I have an app called Timeless which is pretty much just a timer/stop watch up that works well for tracking multiple things at the same time which is good for a brew day. That one sometimes is free on a sale.

I have an Android phone and tablet. I use Brewr for recipe construction, notes and boil timer. BrewersFriend has a decent app with a bunch of calculators. Once I do my calculations (usually water volumes and temps) I put it in the notes in my recipe in Brewr.

Don't be cheap. Buy Beersmith for your home computer and for your mobile. It will be the bestv $33 you will spend. There is a reason beersmith costs money. It is vastly superior to all the free crap on the market.

Beersmith and most of the brewing apps I've seen are super overkill for what I want.
I'm probably going to make a simple one over the summer/spring break.
Toggleable timers with names, maybe a voiceover that says what to do. IE ADD bittering hops, Boil wort, etc.
Another window for a checklist of what needs to be done on brewday, and another for bottling day.
Can incorpate into gCal for scheduling brewday, making a starter in advance, washing/steriling bottles ahead of time, then bottling day and cleaning everything...
Shouldn't be too much time to program since it's basically just three tasks.

Well send me a copy when you get that program done haha!

I'd also like to know when you'll be putting that out. IOS or android?

Android. Right now I'm looking at the brewday and brewaide apps. I'm looking to keep it simple but functional. Would like seperate alarm sound files for each alarm. Simple setup, hopefully support brewsmith exported filexcluding ce setup just press go and it'll remind you of all your boil timers with appropriate sound files "add first hop" etc, "add chiller, moss, whirlfloc," separate tabs for bottling checklist with optional bottle calculator.

I'll add a tab/window for mash/sparging calculation if I can figure the math out later but unlikely as that should be figured out ahead of time and the target audience for this app is just for brewday and bottling day, excluding predetermined things.
No recipe creator, no calculators, no dealing with complicated configurations.

I use brew log on my iPad. Don't know if it's available on android, but there is a five brew trial version.
