Default Is this kit enough to get started?

$125
- 7.5 gallon plastic fermenter bucket with lid
- 6.5 gallon plastic bottling bucket
- hydrometer
- airlock with stopper
- siphon set-up including tubing, clamp, racking tube and bottle filler
- twin level bottle capper and 50+ bottle caps
- One Step No-Rinse sanitizer
- 60 returnable quality 22 oz. bottles in boxes
- dual jet bottle washer
- 5 gallon stainless steel pot with lid
- plastic stir paddle
- Turkey baster (only used for beer making)

Once I get my recipe, do I have all the required equipment for a 5 gallon brew? Only thing I see missing is a thermometer. But obviously getting opinions from here would be best so I don't miss something important. Also, the price isn't too bad is it? Sorry for the extra-newb thread just wanna make sure I'm getting started on the right track

Sounds like a good kit. You'll want to buy some more sanitizer, though. Something like StarSan is popular. Also, get a decent thermometer, and you're all set.

The Kettle isn't big enough for a full boil, but you can do a partial and boil then chill the top off water so that when you are done with your boil you can add the chilled water to cool the wort quickly after you transfer the smaller amount in the kettle into a sink with water and ice.
Remember, have FUN!!! You are making BEER!
