I decided to custom make my own extract kit but loosely followed Brewer's Best American Cream Ale kit. I am just looking for a little guidance so this is what I picked out.

Malt

- 2lbs of Briess Pilsen (dry)
- 2 2/3lbs of Munton's Extra Light (dry)

Hops

- 1.25oz Centennial Pellets (Bittering)
- 1oz Tettnag Pellets

Yest

- 1 packet ( XL wyeast) Bavarian Wheat Blend

Once again, I am just looking for some suggestions to tweak the recipe. This will be my first brew and I want to get it right the first time.

I'm just wondering why the wheat yeast? I dont think it'ed work very well for a cream ale recipe. Id would go with just us-05 or something similar. Also i would'nt add the full 1.25 oz of centennial, would be a little to bitter for the style ( if you like bitter beers then go for it though!) As far as flavor/aroma hop additions the style calls for little to none so you would want to use them sparingly. Also you might consider adding a half pound of light crystal (10L) for some extra body/sweetness.
