First Brew

Hi everyone! I'm brand new to this and planning out my first Malt Extract brew this weekend. Does anyone have any 1st recipe suggestions?

Do your favorite style.

But, pale ales can be easy because the hops are such a big part of the flavor profile.

Are you planning on using a kit? I just brewed my 3rd ever batch today, and I've used the Brewer's Best kits on all three. From what I have seen, read and heard, they seem to be very consistent and high quality kits. The ones I have done (American Pale, Falconer's Flight IPA, and German Altbier) all contain grains to steep, so I've gotten a sense of the grain process even though it is an extract kit.

I second the pale ale kit. Midwest & northern brewer have good fresh ingredient kits.

I highly recommend a Brown Ale. Easy to make and good first brew.

So many decisions, I want to make them all! Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to go with an IPA to start, simply because that was my first gut feeling.
