Default Dry hopping with cones

Just racked onto 3oz of homegrown cascade hop cones and they are pushed right up to the top of the carboy keeping half of them dry. Should I poke the dry hops down to get them soggy or will they eventually get soggy and sink on their own? Planning a 7-14 day dry hop/secondary.

First time hopping with cones, and my own for that matter

Most of them should suck up the wort/get wet within a day or so, I wouldn't worry about pushing them down.

Thanks. Thats what I figured but if they haven't started to sink within a day or two I may be tempted to poke them a bit. Gotta get them soaking at least.

You can also just kind of swirl the carboy instead of poking and see if that works.

I did a light swirl last night and it didn't budge really. Might have to give it a better swirl today. Good thing I didn't try to jam 4oz in there
