Hey,
I am going to brew a wheat dunkel beer from a recepie I found. It calls for an ounce of Hallertauer hops. I have half an ounce laying around from a previus brew and I like the armoa of those hops, so I thought I might add 1.5 oz of hops even though the recepie calls for 1.

Do you think it might be too much of a good thing or will I be fine?

Are you adding them in at an aroma time in the boil. If so I say go for it. But anything longer than 15-20 minutes left and they will impart some flavor and essentially change the recipe.

Then again unless it's your recipe and you loved it. That is the fun of home brewing, just go whatever you want

yes, it depends what time you're going toss in the extra hops. If you like the aroma then add them in the last 5 minutes or so. As Flars said, the IBU's will stay the same.
