I purchased 2 Nut Brown Ale kits during the last NB sale. The first one I brewed I simply added 1lb of brown sugar. For the 2nd batch I am looking for some interesting ideas to change it up a bit. I have thought about Pecans but does anyone have any other suggestions??? thanks

Molasses, Biscuit Malt (would need to be mashed), Clove, Vanilla Bean, Coffee Bean, Cocoa Nibs.

How did it do?

I am brewing the same kit tomorrow and will either:

Add 1lb brown sugar to the boil

OR

Add oak chips soaked in bourbon/rum/Stranahan's whiskey to a secondary.

Thoughts??

I've used hazelnut extract and I've also used real hazelnuts lightly roasted then crushed and put in primary. It's good.

Nut brown s next for us, we are looking to get hazelnuts and roast them in the oven
