Shelf life of LME

I have two "tubs" of LME I got from Austin Brewer, they seem really well sealed and packaged, they were stored in my basement for almost a year now.

Still good?

Wrong! I brewed the ale in my avatar with A cooper's can (pre-hopped LME) from June 2009! Gary at Home Brewer TV gave it a solid 3 thumbs up! So go ahead & use it. You maybe pleasantly surprised with what you get. Although the color will most likely be a bit darker.
As long as it has a good seal still,you're ok.

Theres a big difference between canned and AHS tubs. You're supposed to refrigerate the fresh, non canned stuff.
