Hi All,

I am newer here. I have been making beer for 3 years, and only using can beer kits(hopped) like cooper, the brewhouse. I am beer lover. I am not satisfying my beer. I would like to get away from beer can kit, and start extract or all grain brewing. I have some questions. Any helps or suggestion, will much appreciate.

. is the extract/all grain brewing beer really good than beer can kit?
. should I first try extract brewing, and then all grain?
. I am Canadian, and looking for the online store to buy good malt, grain, yeast in Canada. Could someone tell me the good place to go?

- Yes!
- I would just skip extract if you have the space and money to gear up for AG.

I have used the first two, and would recommend them.

Extract + specialty grains + hops can make some really good beers. My first two batches have come out great after some aging. They won't require any more equipment and not much more time than your current brews. I'm not sure whats available in Canada but the kits from several of the online HBS are easy to use and make good beer. This is especially true if you like hoppy or roasty(Stout), beers.

I would at least make a few extract with steeping grains and hops recipes, just to get a feel for how it is different from the canned kits and get used to the added steps, but that's just me.

You can easily go straight to all grain. Just do the research first and you will be fine. It's really not that hard to do once you figure it out. I would say it's no harder than extract brewing. It just takes longer.
