Default Using Sprouter to Malt & White Powdery Barley Issue (With pics) HELP!

Has anyone tried using a sprouter on barley after the steeping process for germination? Do you think it will be a good idea?

I'm really new to malting and I have been trying to malt some barley. I had two attempts and failed. They keep getting this white sticky powdery stuff during the time I germinate.

I live in the Philippines which is a very warm climate and very humid which I think gives me a bigger chance in getting mold in my barley as I try to germinate.

There is a good article in the current BYO on malting.

While sprouting, spray the grain with a .1% solution of hydrogen peroxide. It helps with sprouting and inhibits growth of nasties.
