Just had a sneaky half pint of my first AG, admitedly two weeks earlier than I should, and OMG how good was this! Considering I've never brewed anything before I think I've done a pretty good job, head retention was great! Admitedly it could probably do with a bit more carbonation.

MARIS OTTER PALE MALT 3590 gms
WHEAT MALT 40 gms
CRYSTAL MALT 320 gms
CHOCOLATE MALT 40 gms

HOPS boil time 90 minutes

Boadicia 33 gms

Add20 gms GOLDINGS last 15 minutes

Boadicia = equivalent to Challenger hops, very similar apparently.

And I have way more trouble reading all your lbs, ounces and fahrenheit. How does 32F = freezing it makes no sense I tell yah!!!!

And yes it's a clone recipe of this beer

Bath Ales : Gem : Our premium amber ale

C'mon man its the King's measurements! You guys made them! You guys are the proud owners of "stones" for weight and "quid" for money. Surely you can deal with a few lbs., ozs., and the F measuring scale?:D

I guess we are the protectors of British heritage. Either that or lazy, I'm not sure which.:mug:

Regards & congrats on the 1st AG success,
Al

Nice! After I tasted my first AG effort I knew it was darkside for life.

That looks like one Boadicious recipe!
