I haven't brewed in about 2 years, and now I got the fever and I'm getting back into it!

So I've bought the goodies, and I think I'm gonna call this one Missing In Action Pale Ale/Wheat!

-MIA Pale Wheat-
All-Grain
10 lbs Pale Ale Malt grains
1 lb White Wheat grains
3, 4, or maybe 5 oz Glacier Hops? (i bought 10oz bulk 2 years ago, been frozen since)
Safbrew WB-06 dry yeast
2c water to 1/2c dme starter


It's been a while....how long do I let the wb-06 starter go before pitching into 5 gallons?
 
Fermentis website suggests rehydrating the yeast instead of a starter. What is the expected OG?
 
ah, ive read peeps making it the night before and pitching it the next day.....I dont have a stir plate, but i've been swirling it around by hand every hour or so


so.... did i mess up doing a starter? Should I not use it now?
 
I dont think its messed up but keep it in mind for next time and research it a little. No worries, good luck!
