Man, I fuggin love getting this week off. I was up early, brewed my SMaSH ale, went out, got some propane tank refills and did some other errands, and I'm just about converted with Dark Paradise Smoked Winter Lager, which was a double-decoction. Takes so long, but that's no problem when you have the whole week off. It's on the final sacch conversion step, so I'd better get back to it. That, and my dog's barking like a ***** back there, so...yeah.

Weizenbock tomorrow...
 
Was always thinking of doing a decoc for a nice German lager. How much extra time does it add to the brew day and is it worth it in terms of added flavor, etc.?
