Has anyone used Tree Top's cider (not juice) to make hard cider? Tree Top's website says the only difference between their cider and juice is the acidity content. They apparently use a tarter mix of apples for their cider. I'm thinking it may turn out much like EdWort's apfelwein (since he uses Tree Top juice), but with a slightly different flavor. I was hoping to make another batch of hard cider, but the pickings are slim this time of year to find cider. :)

For the most part store bought juice ciders turn out about the same regardless of brand unless you get a "not from concentrate" juice. As to the acid content that is something you can easily add to get the desired taste.
