Hi I am new here and to home brewing.
I am looking in to getting a starter kit and
try my hand at brewing. it sounds like if i like it
im gona go all O.C.D. on it so do I buy the ale pail
or do I go with 2 carboys so I can do primary and secondary
fermentation? oh and if i buy a book what one?
I have read a lot of info online and feel Ill have no prob
on first brew, but I "love" lager and want to try brewing one in the fall.

Welcome,

Also from MN. Get an Ale Pail and a 5 gal. carboy for two stage ferment. The Ale Pail is easier to clean as a primary.

The Palmer Book is Great. "How to Brew" I think it is called

I'm from Rochester, How far is that from you?
