Hello, here I show my mash tun, it is 100% handmade. I used a stainless steel tray 555, which was drilled and the connections are copper. The welding came out pretty good and firm.
I used the American coupling, this is quite comfortable to disarm when washing the pot o Keg.
I have a Blichmann engineering thermometer, and I must admit that for the price and quality if they was worth the bought (I have other thermometers from other brands, it is very difficult to calibrate with accurate). Well, I put a copper pipe of 1/2inch with holes on each side. This serves to protect the thermometer's dipstick from some hit of my Stirring Paddle.
My restlessness, at the end of the copper connection (as shown in photo 5) it reaches the bottom of the keg, now comes my question,
It will be convenient to put a mesh type filter in the end of copper pipe ?
or it's only necessary the natural grain filter?
Greetings!
Thank you!
Sorry for my poor english!
