Let me start by saying that I have just about the world's smallest "toy" budget, so I have to build my brew system on the cheap. It looks to me that I can build a HERMS for less money I could a RIMS. Either will need a pid...does anyone have any experience with this one, or can offer advice on PIDs in general?

I'm no expert but it seems no, only 3 amps...
Controlling output
1. Relay output: contact capacity 250V AC 3A (resistive load) (Refrigeration)
2. Alarm function output: 1 way
3. Contact capacity of output: 250V AC 3A (resistive load)

I saw that, and I guess that is the reason for my question; I don't know diddly about these things and wondered if it would control a SSR.
