Default fallen scoby

I checked my kt today. I pushed a straw down past the edge of the scoby and drew some liquid out. Anyway now it has fallen/sunk at least halfway to the bottom of the container. Should I be concerned? Will a new layer form on top again or might this one rise up again? Thoughts?

I've had some rise back to the top, but if yours completely submerged, it might not come back up. Regardless, it will be fine. A new one should form soon.

You are ahead of me Kayleen because I haven't started mine yet, but I believe you are OK based on this article from the Happy Herbalist -- How To Make Kombucha
