I've got a batch of Russian Imperial Stout ready to bottle. Is it better to measure the sugar separately into each bottle or measure the full amount and mix into carboy and then bottle?

I personally put the sugar in each bottle, usually a tsp per works great. People say it results in inconsistent priming but I have never had a problem and its one less racking that can potentially introduce infection and oxidation to the beer.

I dissolve the sugar in a bit of boiling water and add that to the bottling bucket, that way I feel easier about the sugar not infecting anything.
