I am doing my second batch in a 10 Gallon Conical. I dry hopped the first batch with the usual pellets. The problem ended up being murky beer with tons of particles.
What is the best way to avoid that, besides not dry hopping? Using leave hops?

Thanks for the input.

Use leaf hops if you don't want the murkiness.

However, I recently brewed a 5 gallon batch with 15.8oz of pellet hops, 2oz of which were dry hops. Only the very first pull from my keg had a bunch of hop particles. Pint #2 had a few floaties here and there and #3 was crystal clear (ya know... for a CDA :D)

1 lb of hops for 5 gallons...I'm guessing this was mostly late additions!!

Yup.

0.3oz 60min
13.5oz 15min or later
2.0oz dry hop 7 days

Nice....I did a single hop IPA with homegrown cascades. I put 8 oz in at 15, 4 oz at 5, and 4 oz at flameout. I didn't know the AA, and because of that, my IBU's were a bit low, but live and learn.
