just wonderin. I have 4 kegs and want to label them in some way. Most likely a vinyl-cut 4" wrap that goes around the keg. Anyway, I'd love to see how how creative (or not) those of you who label your kegs are. do you have any keg porn to share?

I used the little 3/4" round avery stickers to label my bottles and had a batch made up for a hefeweizen (usually just "Batch #" then the style) decided to go for it and buy kegs before bottling it so I just stuck one of those on the rubber handle and wrapped some clear packing tape around it, been doing that ever since. Nothing fancy but I can't see the kegs once theyre in the keezer anyway and it does the job.

I'll troll the Internet and find a picture I like, print on regular stock, and then affix using blue painters tape. I'm afk (away from keg) but I'll post a pic when I'm back at it.

I too use the merch tags.

I started to use them for the growlers I fill to give away but they come in real handy for kegs. I can't see the side of my kegs so these work well. The beer name & keg # is on the tag and then the manifold has #s over it so I know which gas line is going where.

I got far less of them at wal-mart for far cheaper.

I've always wanted to do this https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/how-add-permanent-volume-markings-kettle-illustrated-463099/#post5955330
after I buffer and polish the outside of my keg to make it all shiny. Would look pretty bad-ass with a sweet etching, don't you think?

Painter's tape and a sharpie looped through the rubber handle and stuck to itself kinda like a little flag. I just write the style, date kegged, and alc% on it. Easy to read, takes no time to make and affix, and removes quickly when the keg is kicked.

+1 to using the tags or tape. I have done both.

I do like the etching idea and have been watching that thread for some time now. If I etch anything on my kegs it will be a number on the top and the same number on the lid so I don't mix them up any more.

Painter's tape on one of the handles with brew date and keg date. Kegs outside the freezer get similar labels with their status (sanitizer, cleaner, fix gas post, etc).

I use what ever tape I have available, and I plaster my kegs with what ever stickers I can get my hands on. I have 20 kegs and just started numbering them as another means to track what is in them and their usage.

I've just been using a vertical version of my bottle labels for the kegs hung on the handles. I plan to stencil the kegs with my "brewery" logo once i find dome time to make the stencils.

I use the tags too... But recently I've been thinking of cleaning them up a bit and trying to "brand" them, similar to what some breweries do. Maybe airbrush a stripe or two and a stylized logo or something onto them. We'll see if I ever get properly motivated.

Hi haven't seen this yet. Turns out if you have Google chrome there's a Qr generator app that's free. I Installed that and made a dynamic Qr code, printed off code to see if it would work and shazam, digital keg tracking. Install qr reader app on smartphone, and it takes me to what ever i wrote about that batch on the generator app. Printed out and taped to laminate and used wire to attack to keg for now but ordered a custom vinyl decal so soon they'll be stickers, also using for fermenter.
