my fav is def. the Honey porter recipe from Midwest.

6lbs Dark LME - 60 min
2lbs. Clover honey 5-10 min.
1 oz Kent Golding - 60 min
1 oz cascade - 15 min
London Ale yeast wyest

Sp. Grains
8oz Carapils
8oz Chocolate malt

GREAT recipe and easy and "fairly" cheap

Well I've only brewed one and it's only been in the fermenter since Saturday. It's Palmer's Port O'Palmer Porter fom "How To Brew". Sure smelled good brewing it up. I guess I'll know in five or six weeks! It's supposed to be similar to Sierra Nevada Porter which is one of my favorites.

Anyone else brewed this one? (Is it okay to post his recipe from the book?)

I've made this one (from the HomeBrew Den) a few times & it never lasts long!

I have this one fermenting away. Have tasted the "commerical version" and love it. Reviews are favorable. Will be ready by the time the cold err cooler weather hits SC.

Im brewing the Vanilla Porter from AHS this weekend so I can let you know in about 2 months if its good. But they have several porters to choose from.

AHS Porters

And I believe all of their kits can be ordered as extract, mini-mash, or all grain. I know everyone Ive looked at is that way. But I have not looked at all 800ish they have to offer.

I mini-mash, but I'm very happy with AHS Anchor Porter clone.

Matter of fact, I'm off to the store to get the ingredients for this tomorrow!
