Anyone have good success fermenting an 8.5% abv using s-05? Wondering if I should just go with liquid and a starter, but trying to be lazy.

Many times...around 60 some times gives it a peachy flavor. But almost any temp is clean and works well

just kegged a iipa with 2 packs of us-05. fermented around 66-68. 1.084 to 1.012. awesome.

If you rehydrate it properly and give plenty of oxygen to start you shouldn't have any issues with one pack. If like to throw it in dry better use two...

Just used one packet of US-05 on my IIPA.

OG 1.081
FG 1.011

Fermented at 65 F, and bottle conditioning now.
No detectable off flavors. :)
