I'm so used to the LHBS crush that I didn't know what properly crushed grain looked like.

Wow! .038, ran it through twice. My efficiency went from about 65% to 84%, nothing special, mashing at 153-154 for one hour, putting my bag in a bucket with a bunch of holes drilled in the bottom, which was inside of another bucket to collect the runnings, sparged with 1 gallon of 168 degree water through a fly sparging arm.

Used 1/2 a whirlfloc and the wort clarity was just spectacular.

Just a blonde ale. Nothing too crazy. Need some good warm weather drinking beers.

I use the .039" setting on my Barley Crusher & get those sort of results. Man,what a difference from store/site crush! Worked worlds better for pb/pm biab.:mug:
