Default Belgian Wit Starter

Gearing up to do a Hoegaarden clone this weekend. Bought some extra 55/45 wheat dme to do the starter. Will that work or do I need just plain light dme?

It'll work fine...you can use either. Sometimes people pitch the entire starter and sometimes they decant the liquid off of the starter's yeast cake and just pitch the slurry.
