well I have a problem I just emptied another keg I have 4 empty 1 half full and 2 batches fermenting, I have a October fest getting brewd on the 9th of September and that weekend I have off from work so I am thinking about brewing another that weekend too.. what would be a good brew going into the fall season... no I do not want a pumpkin beer.... I hate them!!!!... that is one of the 2 beers I do not like the other is a guiness import extra stout.. other than them too... give me ideas please.... I prefer northern brewer recipies but I will order from Austin and more beer and I am aslo game for homemade recipies bring it on please

Where do you live? Weather sorta dictates my brewing schedule. I dont like barleywines and RIS in July when it is 100 outside and I'm not a fan of saisons when it is 40 outside.

Without knowing where you live I'd say a double IPA. Something like Pliny or palate wrecker. But I have experienced the famous lupulin threshold shift...

NB has John Palmer's Elevenses kit/recipe, the Private Rye, Bourbon Barrel Porter, and they have some winter spiced beer kits/recipes. All would be great choices.

well after my better half read the northern brewer magazine she thinks the megalodon imperial red ale sounds good... I have been wanting a hoppy beer and it looks like it would be mildly hoppy with 6 ounces. I have also been wanting to do a high gravity all grain and this one is at the 1090 level so it looks like I am placing the order as soon as I get this typed haha.. cheers and ill try and remember to let you know how it turns out since this is a new kit to northern!

I agree with above. Although unusually brew my barley wines and ris type beers in the summer. That way they will be nice and conditioned come winter
