A glitch in Beer Alchemy that I didn't catch until last night brought to my attention that the Robust Porter I just kegged might be a little high in IBU's. Anyway, I thought I would see what the community thought.

I based the recipe off of JZ's robust porter in the Brewing Classic Styles book but used WLP005 (British Ale) and tweaked the grains a little. Regardless using EKG and Fuggles I came out with 41 IBU's on a 1.052 OG/ 1.013 FG porter.

It is within the style guidelines so I am hoping it won't be too bitter for an English porter. Any input since I can't drink it for a week? Can you overhop with EKG and Fuggles?

Thanks for any input!

It'll definitely be fine, and you can always age it a little longer to allow for the bitterness to fade a little if needed.
