With two sort of regular beers in fermenters now, I want to brew something big and strong that I can let sit until winter rolls around. Has anyone ever brewed the MoreBeer Imperial Stout AG kit? Impressions?

It says it has 18 pounds of grain. Will I be able to mash that successfully in a 10-gallon round rubbermaid mash tun, or is that pushing it?

Also, any recommendation for a dry yeast with this one? I've been using only liquid yeasts, but this one seems a good candidate to try a dry yeast. Suggestions?

I did 15+ lbs of grain in a 10 gallon round rubbermaid cooler. I certainly had enough headspace to do at least another 3 lbs so you should be fine.

I am a big fan of Nottingham dry yeast. My friend is a big fan of S-05.
