I'm working on my first original recipe and would like some input. I'm trying to make a Strong Red Ale with some complexity to it. I started with a fairly basic amber ale, added 2 oz. Roasted Barley, 1 lb. D-45, 1 lb. corn sugar, and 1 oz. Northern Brewer hops.

Does this recipe look solid? I haven't done much experimentation so far. My main concern is the D-45. I've read that it goes well with Belgian Ambers. Does it fit with this recipe?

Also, do my hops look ok?

EDIT:
Sorry, forgot to link the recipe.
