So my roommate acquired some fresh hops (still on the vine!) last weekend. We picked them, and have tons of awesome whole leaf hops. I've never brewed with them, so I'm looking for some tips/advice/whatever.

We've got good quantities of chinook, cascade, and willamette. Anyone got a sweet IPA/Pale Ale recipe? I also don't know what the conversion (if there even is one?) from whole hops to pellets is!

I'm brewing extract/steeping grain batches, and can't do a full boil either.

Cheers,
Mike

Use 5X as much wet hops by weight than dried hops. I would use them as a late hop and flameout addition as you don't know their buttering potential. As for a recipe, any standard APA recipe should do fine. Keep it simple so you can gauge what the hops add to the beer.
