Anybody ever come across a general guide to ranges of batch size vs. grain weight ratios as related to beer style? (ie: ~9-10lb grain for 5 gal batch of Pale Ale, 15-18lb grain for 5 gal of strong ale, etc...)

You could approximate it pretty easily. Figure base malt at 37 points per pound per gallon, so with a 5 gallon batch and 75% efficiency, every pound of grain adds ~5 gravity points (=37/5*.75). So 10 pounds is a 1050 beer, 15 pounds is a 1075 beer, etc.

EDIT: Wow, this is pretty handy and easy to calculate mentally. I'm glad you asked this!
