I was gifted a ton of hops from a local micro. Way more than I will be able to use before they loose quality - luckily I have some homebrew friends in the area that I can share with.

Looking for ideas to use some up in 10gal batches. What are your Top 5 Hops Combo's or Trio's for your brews.

On hand I have:
- 3lbs US Perle
- 2lbs Cascade
- 2lbs Northern Brewer
- 2lbs Chinook
- 1lb Falconers Flight
- 1lb Centennial
- 1lb Australlian Galaxy

I'd probably use Perle almost exclusively for bittering... Northern Brewer for any English styles... Then mix Galaxy, Centennial, Cascade, Chinook and Falconers Flight to make an awesome IPA.

Falconers flight and galaxy would make a wicked tropical fruity IPA. I make a Mosaic Galaxy Rye ale that would be similar. Rye compliments the tropical hops IMO.

Galaxy is love. Who needs other hops when you have galaxy? Maybe some centennial? But then galaxy is a lot more assertive...

I see a lot of IPAs in your future. As others have said you have the 3 C's covered. I just did a millennium and Falcon IPA that was dry hopped with 2 oz (5 gal batch) Falcon and it was total grapefruit if that's a flavor you like.

Love Mosaic by itself but my favorite combo is equal parts of Centennial and Nugget. It's positively orangey - not kinda sorta like orange, it's orange.

I like Falconer's Flight by itself. One of my favorite beers (Wings) is made with it. It changes all the time and delicious. I am a fan of all Chinook old ales (think Arrogant Bastard). It is a "rough" hop, and I love all the edges! Galaxy is another hop I like solo, or with one other hop...usually Citra. Cheers!
