Winter Extract

Looking for some suggestions or recipes for a good winter porter or stout. I haven't brewed since the fall after going on a diet and had recently moved to all-grain.

My brother in law was very interested in learning to home brew so I bought him a kit for Christmas. I'm having him come over this week and we'll brew together a batch for his first time so he can learn. I usually do Hefeweizen's, Kolsch's, etc. so it'll be fun for me to do something different while teaching the basics.

A few posts down, I translated the all-grain recipe into an extract with steeping grains recipe. This is a well-balanced recipe, balanced between sweet, roast, and bitter, and one of my favorite winter beers.
