Started a wine kit last friday night, and I guess we were supposed to stir the batch everyday for 5 days. So i didnt do it the first 2 day, and did it today for the first time tonight. Could this affect anything, or should I keep it a couple days more befor transfering..?

Thanks

What kit was it? Did the directions actually tell you to stir for the first 5 days? Was this a Crushendo kit? A little more info might be helpful, then anyone can help you out a little more.

I highly doubt you will see any ill affects, keep to the directions from here on out for the first batch, and you'll (think) be a pro soon enough. (I know I think I know what I'm doing)

I don't recall ever seeing quite those instructions in a kit, unless we're talking about punching down some grape skins or raisins or something. However, there are a lot of kits made for the Canadian market that aren't available here in the US.

To answer your question - no, I doubt you'll ever notice it in your finished wine. Just read, and re-read, the instructions to make sure you follow the remaining steps correctly.

I'm about to start a Cellar Craft 5-week Barbera w/grape pack and it says to stir twice a day during primary. First time I've seen that, too. (Of course when you're as new as me, lots of stuff is a first time.)
