Standard 2 faucet tower/keg kit
http://stores.kegconnection.com/Detail.bok?no=338
-$314

or

Premium 2 faucet tower/keg kit
http://stores.kegconnection.com/Detail.bok?no=467
-$324

Now i know the standard kit(top one) has a 2 1/2 inch tower and a dual body reg, and the premium kit (bottom one) has a 3 inch tower and a dual check valve on a single reg. But why is the premium more expensive when the only advantage it seems to have is a 1/2inch larger tower diameter? And it doesnt even offer a dual body reg like the standard version does. Finally, which one would you choose??

thanks alot,
Matt

Any ideas as to why they're almost the same price when one comes with a dual reg, and the other one a single?

Looks like the standard has a dual body regulator as well as 2 single faucet towers as opposed to 1 double faucet tower.

premium kit has a more expensive regulator and an air manifold. All of the premium kits has the more expensive regulator.

chudnow vs. taprite

Just my opinions, but I wish I'd gone with at least two different regulator bodies to keep different pressures on different kegs. I'm looking at updating my system this winter. The two towers just seems like more work to cool and mount.

I've heard that KegConnection is willing to customize the kit if you call them. You might be very happy if you upgraded to Perlicks, for example.

Kit 1: Hosebarb Disco's on the gas side
Double reg
Two towers

Kit 2: MFL discos all around
Single 'better' reg
Single tower, two taps

1 is a better deal IMO. Get them to swap out the two single towers for one double and you're good to go.
